Overview
Integration Brief
This showcase presents concept and design work exploring how udStream's 3D visualization capabilities could integrate into Microsoft Teams, enabling teams to interact with complex geospatial data directly within their existing collaboration environment.
Collaboration at Scale
The concept was designed around enabling users to share, discuss, and analyse 3D models in real-time within Teams, bringing advanced visualization tools directly into a platform where communication and collaboration already converge. While full design concepts were developed, the integration was not ultimately implemented, as company priorities shifted toward other contracted work.
Design Approach
Contextual Integration
The primary design challenge was conceptualising how a complex 3D visualization application could be embedded within the constraints of the Microsoft Teams UI framework — maintaining udStream's analytical depth while adhering to the Fluent Design System and Teams' established UX patterns.
Outcome
The resulting concept demonstrated a cohesive experience that would feel native to Teams while preserving the full depth of udStream's geospatial analysis capabilities — designed to make advanced 3D visualization accessible to collaboration-first teams without switching contexts. The project remains a design concept rather than a shipped feature.
